Bars in Briancon
The bars in Briancon, Serre Chevalier, foster a friendly atmosphere and an alpine feel, meaning Après-ski in this charming French town is fittingly fun. While there are many options for punters in the extended Serre Chevalier resort, the town of Briancon offers two main options: Le Bar du Casino Briancon, a welcoming casino bar that is open all year round, and La Collégiale, an energetic venue enriched by live music, cosy interiors and small lounges.
Le Bar du Casino Briancon is a smart and sophisticated hub for visitors to the area. Accessible to everybody in the casino, the bar comprises various areas, including a lounge-type area and a terrace. Hot and cold drinks are served, in addition to a number of cocktails and snacks. The Casino Bar is open daily from 11pm until the casino closes. Next door, a brasserie serves bistro cuisine around a central fireplace until 11pm each day. One of Briancon’s main socialising spaces, Le Bar du Casino is open to everybody over the age of 18 (a valid form of identification is usually required). The bar is set on Avenue Maurice Petsche, in the heart of the town.
Open from 4pm – just after the skiers and snowboarders vacate the surrounding mountains – until 2am, La Collégiale is Briancon’s main bar venue and attracts revellers with its vibrant ambience and stylish interior, among other things. With a wide range of speciality drinks on offer, guests are spoilt for choice.
Each Friday, talented musicians take to the stage from 9pm at La Collégiale – making the bars in the areaa great place to enjoy live music in Briancon. An open mic night attracts a crowd each Sunday from 6pm. The heated terrace is alluring in both summer and winter, as is the homemade cuisine that is served in the bar.
