Testimonials for our apartments 350m from lift in Briancon

Our Briancon apartments are modern and fully equipped 350 metres from the Prorel ski lifts in Briancon Serre Chevalier Valley. The apartments are in the centre of town and benefit from being next to the main square, swimming pool, bars and restaurants, river, market and everything good in the valley. Secure Parking is at 50 metres (25€/week).

We stayed here for a week in August (2 couples and our 3 kids.) All I can say is wow wow wow! - we loved our stay! The interiors are super chic and those massive sliding window-doors looking onto the mountains are amazing.

The flat is so perfectly located as is right in town, so it was great that the little French market is so close on Sunday morning to get all our supplies - there were so many stalls with delicious French sausage, cheeses, fruit & veg and the fresh apple and pear juices. We made fresh picnics to take on our adventures each day.

I stayed in the Klimt apartment for 5 weeks during January/February 2017 during a skiing holiday in Serre Chevalier. It was first rate. The apartment was very well equipped, warm, spacious and comfortable - much better than the usual ski 'rabbit hutch'. Klimt was well situated being a 5 minute walk from the ski gondola in Briancon (and the adjacent Mont Prorel bar with 15.00 to 18.00 happy hours prices of 3 euros a pint). There was a supermarket about a minute's walk away and another some 5 minutes walk. The historic walled part, Vauban, was some 15 minutes walk away in the other direction up the hill. Kathryn the agent was excellent and very helpful. In short I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment.

We have skied, as a family, at Serre Chevalier for the past 20 years but have also skied at most of the big resorts in France, Switzerland and Austria over the past 30 years. We return to SC every year as the locals are so helpful, the ski area is 250km of piste and well linked plus the resort is very family friendly. Because of the 4000m+ peaks surrounding SC low cloud can't get into the valley, so the local claim of 300 days of sunshine per year is valid. It is generally either snowing or blue skies. The snow record is better than anywhere else I know in the Alps and there is plenty of good skiing for beginners to advanced. Staying in Briancon is the best option but try and get close to the main access point at the Prorel Gondola (google 'Briancon apartments'). I'd suggest self catering as the local hotels are not great and quite expensive. There are also swimming pools and a 1st Division Ice Hockey team that is well worth watching (Les Diables Rouge). The Italian border is only 15 minutes drive away if you want a 'genuine' Italian meal. If you want more variety the lift pass allows 1 day's skiing at several other local French & Italian resorts (La Grave, Les Deux Alpes, Montgenevre, Claviere, Sestriere, Puy St Vincent & Souze d'Oulx).

We had an amazing time in Apartment Klimt in Briançon. The flat is decorated tastefully, the mountains in the rear, create the perfect backdrop. Apartment Klimt is spacious and we had no problem cooking and dining at 9 persons.

The fireplace added to the warmth and cosiness of the apartment.

Everything we would need was there. It's very well located in the centre of the charming town nearby the market and the restaurants, and most important it is very close to the slopes and to Serre Chevalier. Really great accommodation. Can't wait to return next year.
