Snowkiting in Briancon

What is snowkiting, we hear you ask? Snowkiting is a relatively new phenomenon, which combines the physicality of the best snow-based adrenaline sports with the skill of kiting. The result is an astounding experience of high-octane athletics. It involves using a kite to glide along the snow. Also known as parachute skiing, snowkiting is an empowering pursuit that gets the blood pumping even on the coldest of winter days. Serre Chevalier has a dedicated school for the study and practice of snowkiting. Set on top of the beautiful Lautaret Pass, the snowkiting school is open from November to May each year, from 9:30am until 6pm. A 3 hour session starts from EUR 110, while a 5-day course starts from just EUR 560. Whether trying for the first time or an experienced snowkiter, Briancon in Serre Chevalier offers a range of pistes that suits all levels of ability. Children from age 7 can participate, with the consent of their parents. Included in the overall cost of the lessons are the rental of helmet, radio, harness, kite, as well as the transportation during the lesson.
